THE POWER OF YOUTH
Surely, youth of any nation is its basic pillar, strength and security. Youth, no doubt, makes the past of any nation, forms the present and decides its future.
Similar is the case of our homeland
- Kashmir. It used to be the land of fertile minds. Various personalities belong to this land, various legends were born here whose memory is still cherished and whose names are carved stones for what they achieved.
The land is same, same is the atmosphere but majority of the young generation of Kashmir is lost somewhere. Here, youth has completely stopped to live in a positive way and has deliberately chosen destruction over success.
It has become a main victim of so called modernization. The young generation of today has comprehensively forgotten the morals and to live for better.
It not only affects their life but family, society and of course the whole nation. They have chosen big gangs over parents, cigarette over pen, drugs Over books and what not.
Present generation, and what we can call as the future of our Kashmir, is involved in the
immoral and intolerable activities. It would not be inappropriate to say that drug abuse has become ubiquitous.
Not only boys but girls are also indulged in such kind of a dark activity.
Cigarette smoking is just considered as prosaic now.
Going to colleges and universities has now become a norm. Being a youth, I would definitely like to mention that we have forgotten the main purpose of seeking knowledge, we have forgotten the ways to behave with our teachers, to respect them and what role do they actually
play for us.
Discipline and decency are indeed considered old-fashioned but we don't
comprehend that it actually reflects what we are.
Our conscience has died and we are living a life that is devoid of conscience. We are not able to differentiate between right and wrong.
We are not making it to the finest path, rather we are walking on a road that can lead us nowhere. Our eyes are open but we are unable to see the materialism.
In the end we are only degrading ourselves.
Remembering our Creator, Allah (S.W.T) is a much farther concept because we have forgotten Creator, our religion, and purpose of life.
This is just the one side, but the other side is that we can bring out a great change but this change Starts from self.
Youth of Kashmir possesses each and every kind of ability and competence but They only need to find it once in themselves and stay away from each and every kind of evil
that our religion and tradition has prohibited.
